Electric cars require operating fluids, just like vehicles with internal combustion engines. The difference: the requirements for the fluids are sometimes significantly higher.
Electric cars do not need an oil change, it is said. This is often used as an argument for electric drive - however it only refers to engine oil and is therefore not entirely correct. Indeed, electric cars no longer regularly need to go to the workshop for an oil change. For the manufacturers, however, the transition means completely different lubricants and cooling fluids for the drive trains. Because electric drives have different requirements for these fluids than combustion engines - in some cases significantly higher.
