The newly established, pan-European industrial auction house Dome Auctions is entering the market with a real highlight: Over the next two months, the modern machinery from four renowned Swiss industrial companies will be auctioned. A total of over 100 high-quality machines will go under the hammer.

A particular focus is on the auction of 29 CNC machines from the precision engineering company Big Kaiser. Additionally, machines from the sheet metal processing specialists Marton AG and Progin S.A. Metal, as well as from the switchgear manufacturer Tabelco, are up for sale. All four companies – including insolvent operations – are currently undergoing restructuring processes or had to cease operations due to economic challenges.

Marton and Progin Metal were innovative companies that invested heavily in modern machinery until just two years ago. This now gives us the opportunity to bring high-quality and relatively young machines to the market.

Trumpf technology and highly automated systems at Marton AG

The opening is marked by the online auction of the machinery of Marton AG, a traditional family business in the sheet metal processing sector that supplied both the automotive industry and construction companies. After losing a major customer and facing structural changes in the German industry, Marton unexpectedly had to file for bankruptcy. Among the highlights of the over 800 positions up for auction are the Trumpf TruLaser 5040 (2016), Trumpf Trumatic 7000 combination laser cutting machine, Trumpf Sheetmaster 7130 vacuum loader, FMG GBLK sheet metal storage for large formats (4,000 x 2,000 mm, up to 5,000 kg per cassette), and Bystronic ByJet Classic 3015 waterjet cutting system. The auction runs from March 25 to April 21, with a viewing day on April 17.

Bystronic laser and extensive steel inventory at Progin S.A. Metal

Progin S.A. Metal, another Swiss company in the profile and facade production sector, also recently had to file for bankruptcy. As recently as 2018, Progin invested in a modern Bystronic BySprint Fiber 4020 with a 4 kW fiber laser and automated loading and unloading. A second Bystronic laser cutting system and an extensive steel plate storage with over 1,000 positions are also up for sale. The online auction begins in April and runs until June 5, with a viewing available on May 29.

Switchgear construction at Tabelco – machines and large tools on offer

At Tabelco, a manufacturer of switch cabinets for international machinery manufacturers, the Bulle location fell victim to a strategic reorientation by the parent company. The auction features various hand tools and inventories, as well as larger machines and special equipment available for sale. The auction runs from April 3, with a viewing day on May 6.

Exclusive direct sales: High-end CNC from Big Kaiser

Another highlight is the direct sale of 29 high-tech CNC machines from Big Kaiser, after the Japanese parent company decided to consolidate future manufacturing exclusively in Japan. Via Dome Auctions, the following top machines, among others, are now being sold: Index G220 turning-milling center (built in 2022), DMG Mori CLX 350 (2019) with over 40 Hainbuch collets, DMG Mori NTX 1000 (2017), Studer S33 cylindrical grinding machine (2023) – with less than 2,700 operating hours, and additional machines from Studer, Kellenberger, and Rosa Ermando. All machines are ready for demonstration at the Big Kaiser production site in Rümlang (near Zurich). The viewing day with purchase possibility is on May 15.
