The company Idealworks, which emerged from the BMW Group, has been fully acquired by Agile Robots. The automation company has been an investor in the automaker's subsidiary since October 2023. Founded in 2020, Idealworks has developed a robotics ecosystem that includes the automation platform "AnyFleet," the simulation technology "iw.sim," and the autonomous mobile robot "iw.hub."

According to the company, more than 850 iw.hubs are currently in use at BMW Group production sites worldwide. Furthermore, Idealworks has a customer base in other industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing.
