The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng Motors has officially announced its entry into five new European markets: Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. This was reported by the news site CarNewsChina. To market the models in Switzerland, the automaker is collaborating with the European mobility service provider Hedin Group. The focus is on the Xpeng G6 and G9 models. According to the news site, the model P7+ is expected to launch in the first half of 2026.

At the same time, Xpeng announced its market entry in Austria in October 2025. There, the manufacturer intends to continue its dealer model. According to CarNewsChina, this model has proven successful in Germany. The first dealers are set to open in Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Klagenfurt. By the end of 2025, Xpeng aims to scale to ten locations; by 2026, to 20 locations. Additionally, the automaker plans to expand into the markets of Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. According to CarNewsChina, a joint venture between the trading companies "AutoWallis Group" and "Salvador Caetano Group" will manage the operations in these three countries.

Development in Germany

Norway was the first European market where the Chinese automaker expanded, back in 2021. Since then, the company's sales and service network has covered more than 46 countries and regions. In the first half of 2025, Xpeng sold over 8,000 vehicles in Europe, according to the news site, and has recently opened its first European research and development center in Munich. Employees there are expected to support the development of additional models for European production, including sedans and SUVs. Later this year, Xpeng plans to begin manufacturing the G6 and G9 models at Magna in Graz. This marks the first time Magna will assemble complete vehicles for a Chinese automaker under this contract.
