Secure multi-protocol modules with Safe Link

Turck has introduced the TBEN-LL-4FDI-4FDX safe IP67 block I/O modules, which enable flexible and decentralized safety control without central control cabinets. These modules support Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Modbus TCP and use the Turck Safe Link protocol for safe communication with each other. The safety-related logic is implemented directly in the modules with safe inputs and outputs, creating a modular and scalable safety architecture. This solution is particularly suitable for small to medium-sized systems and significantly reduces cabling and installation time. With approval for ATEX zone 2/22, the modules are also suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Firmware update brings fieldbus integration and extended diagnostics

An update for Turck's TBEN-Lx-SE-M2 managed Ethernet switch now enables full integration into common engineering applications. This allows the robust IP67 modules to be used as active fieldbus devices in networks such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP and also offers comprehensive network-related diagnostics. The redundancy mechanisms of the switches, such as MRP, DLR and RSTP, increase network availability and security, while functions such as topology-based commissioning simplify device replacement and increase efficiency.

Dynamic inclination sensors with CANopen

Turck is expanding its range of QR20 inclination sensors with a CANopen interface. These sensors are ideal for use in mobile machines such as wheel loaders, tippers and telescopic platforms. The tilt sensors use a fusion of gyroscope signal and MEMS acceleration measurement, which makes them more effective at compensating for shocks and vibrations than conventional sensors. This should ensure precise and stable measurements even in moving or vibrating environments. Turck can be found at SPS from November 12 to 14 in Hall 7, Stand 250. (mc)
