In Germany, the VW Golf is the undisputed leader in new registrations. Across Europe, the model has to settle for seventh place. The favorite car of European car buyers comes from Tesla.

The best-selling car in Europe comes from an American manufacturer. With just under 252,000 new registrations, the Tesla Model Y secured the crown of the most popular car among European buyers. This is according to a new registration evaluation by market observer Jato (28 countries: EU + EFTA + UK, excluding Bulgaria).
