Dassault Systèmes and Nvidia have established a long-term strategic partnership to develop a scalable industrial AI platform for virtual twins. According to a statement, the joint architecture combines Dassault Systèmes' virtual twin technologies with Nvidia's AI infrastructure, open models and accelerated software libraries to create scientifically validated "Industry World Models" as mission-critical systems for industrial applications.

The aim is to embed artificial intelligence more strongly in physical and industrial contexts and thus establish it as a reliable basis for decision-making and simulation beyond isolated solutions. The platform will be based on the agent-based 3D experience environment and provide so-called "virtual companions" that support users with context-related, trustworthy industrial expertise, according to the company.

A central building block is the expansion of a global AI infrastructure: Dassault Systèmes wants to operate AI factories on several continents via the Outscale cloud brand, which use the latest Nvidia technologies and at the same time guarantee data protection, IP protection and data sovereignty. Nvidia, in turn, relies on model-based system development from Dassault Systèmes for the design of its own AI factories and integrates these into Omniverse-based deployments.

Fields of application range from accelerated material and drug research to AI-supported simulation in construction and engineering to autonomous, software-defined production systems.
