With the Siemens Industrial Copilot, Siemens is revolutionizing the industry by enabling customers to deploy generative AI across the entire value chain—from design and planning through engineering and operation to services. The generative AI-powered assistant allows engineering teams, for example, to generate code for programmable logic controllers in their native language, which can accelerate SCL code generation by up to 60 percent while minimizing errors. This in turn shortens development time and increases quality and productivity in the long term.

Siemens is developing a complete suite of industrial-grade copilots for the manufacturing and process industries and is now strengthening its Industrial Copilot offering with the introduction of an advanced maintenance solution aimed at redefining maintenance strategies in the industry.

The new generative AI-supported solution will support all types of maintenance and help companies transition from traditional maintenance approaches to an intelligent, data-driven approach. To achieve this, Senseye Predictive Maintenance will be expanded on Microsoft Azure with two offerings:

  • Starter package: This solution offers a barrier-free and cost-effective entry into predictive maintenance by combining AI-driven repair instructions with basic predictive capabilities. It helps companies transition from reactive to condition-based maintenance management by providing limited connectivity for sensor data collection and real-time condition monitoring. With AI-assisted troubleshooting and minimal infrastructure requirements, companies can reduce downtime, improve maintenance efficiency, and lay the foundation for full predictive maintenance.

  • Scaling package: Designed for companies seeking to fully transform their maintenance strategy, this package integrates Senseye Predictive Maintenance with the full functionality of the Maintenance Copilot. It enables customers to predict failures before they occur, maximize uptime, and reduce costs with AI-driven insights. With enterprise-wide scalability, automated diagnostics, and sustainable business outcomes, this solution helps companies move beyond traditional maintenance, optimize operations across multiple locations, and support long-term efficiency and competitiveness.

The new offering enables comprehensive coverage of the entire maintenance cycle—from reactive repair to predictive and preventive strategies—utilizing insights gained through generative AI to improve decision-making and efficiency in industrial environments.

As industries increasingly seek ways to improve the reliability of their machinery and equipment while reducing costs, maintenance operations are evolving from reactive to proactive approaches. Traditional maintenance strategies often lead to costly downtimes and inefficiencies. Siemens addresses this challenge by integrating AI-powered maintenance solutions into Senseye Predictive Maintenance, helping companies optimize their equipment performance and maximize uptime. The combination of generative AI and predictive maintenance enables companies to leverage real-time data and advanced analytics to ensure timely interventions and strategic planning. Initial pilot use cases have shown that the Siemens Industrial Copilot saves an average of 25% of reactive maintenance time.

The further development of our Industrial Copilot is a significant step in transforming maintenance operations. By expanding our predictive maintenance solutions, we enable companies to seamlessly shift from a reactive to a proactive maintenance strategy. This promotes efficiency and competitiveness in an increasingly complex industrial landscape.
