SHINING 3D recently demonstrated the transformative power of wireless technology on a global scale, showcasing its dual strength in accessible innovation and industrial metrology at both Formnext in Frankfurt and the Dubai Airshow.

Formnext 2025: Defining the Future of Wireless Metrology

At Formnext, the world’s leading additive manufacturing event, SHINING 3D delivered its most comprehensive exhibition to date. The centerpiece of the showcase was a sharp focus on the third generation of wireless 3D scanning technology.

Leading this technological leap is the FreeScan Omni, a flagship all-in-one metrology scanner. It captivated attendees not just with its wireless freedom but with its groundbreaking onboard inspection module. By enabling real-time data processing and quality checks directly on the device, FreeScan Omni represents a significant shift towards autonomous, computer-free metrology.

Alongside this flagship innovation, SHINING 3D also unveiled the next-generation EINSTAR series (EINSTAR Rockit and EINSTAR 2), further expanding the wireless ecosystem. Broadening this wireless freedom into the healthcare sector, the newly launched EinScan Medixa made its debut as a specialized scanner tailored for medical applications. From accessible portable units to high-end metrology and dedicated medical systems, SHINING 3D demonstrated a complete, cutting-edge lineup that is redefining the standards of mobile 3D measurement.

Rounding out the exhibition, SHINING 3D also presented a robust array of proven solutions, including the automated RobotScan Q12, the optical tracking-based FreeScan Trak Nova, as well as the FreeScan Combo+, AutoScan Inspec2, EinScan Libre, and EinScan Rigil.

Dubai Airshow: Engineering the Future of Aerospace

Simultaneously, at the Dubai Airshow, SHINING 3D demonstrated its prowess in high-end industrial applications. SHINING 3D Metrology displayed its flagship quality control systems, including the OptimScan Q12 and FreeScan Omni. Tailored for the rigorous standards of the aerospace industry, these solutions provide the micron-level accuracy and automated inspection capabilities necessary for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) and the manufacture of complex components.
