This recognition reflects not only the tech corporation's ambitious goals to reduce its own emissions - the company is set to be carbon neutral by 2025—but also the company's commitment to enabling its customers to operate sustainably in line with political objectives such as the Paris Climate Agreement or the European Green Deal.

Time Magazine and Statista used a transparent, multi-stage methodology to identify the world's most sustainable companies in 2024. The process began with a comprehensive selection of over 5000 of the world's largest and most influential companies, taking into account factors such as revenue, market capitalization and public recognition. Subsequently, non-sustainable industries were excluded and factors such as external sustainability audits and commitments, corporate reporting, and the ESG performance were evaluated. This comprehensive approach led to a selection of 500 companies from over 30 countries.

Schneider Electric impressed with its technological expertise and the "Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI)" program. This program measures the company's progress on its global sustainability goals 2021-2025 and contributes to six long-term commitments that cover all environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions. As part of this program, Schneider Electric supports its customers in reducing their carbon emissions, thereby saving a total of 553 million tons of CO2 since 2018. The company has also made great strides in transforming its own supply chain. The CO2 emissions of the 1000 key suppliers have fallen by 27 percent since the program began, and 21 percent of the tech giant's strategic partners are to meet the Schneider Electric standards for decent work.

We are very honored to be recognized as the most sustainable company in the world.

Peter Herweck, CEO of Schneider Electric.

"This award is a testament to our relentless commitment to sustainability, which is embedded in everything we do. We consider environment, society and good corporate governance in our decisions and our daily actions. That's why we are determined to continue advancing our sustainability goals and ensuring that everyone contributes positively to sustainability,"said Peter Herweck, CEO of Schneider Electric.
