Following the successful acquisition of Makplast in March, the Munich-based (Germany) company Ringmetall has now seized another opportunity. The acquired thermoforming unit of New England Plastics is an established supplier of rigid and form liners, tote liners and other vacuum-formed thermoplastic packaging systems. With 41 employees, all of whom will be taken over, the company generates sales in the high 1-digit million dollar range.

Ringmetall Strengthens Its Market Position in the USA

Ringmetall is thus specifically strengthening its position in the US liner business. The acquisition is an excellent addition to the existing liner production in New York, broadens the product portfolio and creates growth potential for the coming years. The EBITDA margin of the acquired unit of New England Plastics is within the usual range for the Liner division. The acquisition will be financed using the company's own funds as well as freely agreed credit lines. As always, the purchase price is not being discussed. According to Ringmetall, the possibility of further acquisitions in the liner segment this year cannot be ruled out.
