The sensor solution Visionary AI-Assist consists of two components: the Visionary-B Two 3D stereo camera and the AI-Assist software. The camera is used for distance measurement, object detection, and environment recognition in indoor and outdoor areas. The AI-Assist software utilizes artificial intelligence to classify people. This allows current hazards in the working area of a mobile machine to be assessed and selective warnings to be issued.

The Visionary AI-Assist combines data acquisition, processing, and output in one device. Neither additional sensor hardware nor a separate controller or cloud connection is required. Using stereoscopy, the Visionary AI-Assist captures two-dimensional images, which are then converted into three-dimensional point clouds. Due to their mechanical design, stereo cameras are particularly well-suited for use in harsh conditions. The camera's field of view can be adjusted (130° x 105° up to 52 feet range or 90° x 60° up to 121 feet range). Additionally, the area where people or objects are detected can be individually configured, allowing the system to be flexibly adapted to various requirements.

Flexible Integration Via Standard Interfaces

Thanks to platform-independent configuration and visualization via a web browser, the Visionary AI-Assist can be flexibly controlled. For control integration, the system solution offers digital inputs and outputs, Ethernet with REST API and RTSP live video streaming, as well as CAN based on J1939. This enables the system to be flexibly integrated into mobile machines for a wide range of applications.

The Visionary AI-Assist was specifically developed for mobile machines and meets all key requirements for outdoor applications: a power supply of 10 to 57 V DC, operating temperatures from –40 °F to 131 °F, and protection classes IP67, IP69, and IPx9K. The solution is EMC-compliant according to EN ISO 14982 (agriculture and forestry), EN 13766 (construction machinery), and EN 12895 (industrial trucks), and it has been tested for vibration and shock resistance.

The Visionary AI-Assist is suitable for both retrofitting existing mobile working machines and initial equipment. Various accessories support integration into vehicles in both cases. Thoughtfully designed mounting kits—optionally with vibration damping—ensure a permanently stable installation on the vehicle. Power and Ethernet cables provide the necessary power supply and connectivity. A protective cover shields the system from weather conditions such as rain, dust, or sunlight.
