1. Bicker Elektronik: Ultra-Compact Medical Power Supplies with Fanless Baseplate Cooling

Bicker Elektronik GmbH expands its portfolio with the AC/DC medical power supply series Cincon LFM200M and LFM300M, with outputs of 200 and 300 watts, respectively. These open-frame power supplies are characterized by an ultra-slim profile of only 1 inch and offer high efficiency of up to 94 percent. The operating temperature range extends from -40°F to 175°F. In both power classes, models with precisely regulated DC output voltages of 12 V or 24 V are available. The thermally optimized design with baseplate contact cooling enables fanless operation, contributing to noise reduction and increased lifespan, as there are no moving parts like fans that can wear out. Additionally, the efficient heat dissipation ensures reliable performance. The power supplies are suitable for space-critical and portable applications in medical technology.

2. Phoenix Contact: Bidirectional Power Supply for Rack Mounting

The AC/DC power module Trio Power from Phoenix Contact, with a power output of 26.8 hp for 19-inch rack mounting, enables bidirectional power conversion in various application areas. With front connection technology and a DC voltage of up to 1,000 V, it can be used flexibly but is particularly suitable for use in battery storage systems. The connection technology directly on the front side ensures flexible and easy installation. When used in battery storage, the module serves both to supply energy from the storage and to buffer energy in the storage. The bidirectional power conversion of the power module makes it possible to both draw energy from the grid and feed energy into the grid. Additionally, it can operate independently of the grid, supplying consumers at locations where there is no grid connection.

The company Fortec Power has introduced the new Neo Power NP05 by Advanced Energy. The NP05 is a configurable AC-DC power supply, characterized by its high power density of 17 W/in³. It offers a total output power of up to 3.2 hp distributed across up to 5 output modules, which can be connected both in series and parallel. The power supply is versatile and suitable for industrial environments where high power density and reliability are required.

4. Lütze: Economical Power Supplies for Standard Applications

The automation specialist Lütze has launched the cost-optimized Lepos power supply series for standard applications. The new entry-level series is ideal for applications and customers looking for cost-effective power supplies without high-end specifications, yet still valuing reliability and quality. The power supply family is offered in four model series:

  • Basic,

  • High Performance,

  • Wide Range and

  • Power.

All power supplies are equipped with extensive protection measures against overload, overvoltage, and over-temperature. The Basic series offers an entry-level solution with a 1-phase mains input and a very good price-performance ratio. The High Performance series is characterized by very low power loss and minimal space requirements. The Wide Range series is specifically designed for use in 1- and 2-phase networks. Power is suitable for all 3-phase applications.

5. Elec-Con: DC Wide Range for the Control Cabinet

The compact DC/DC converters for control cabinet installation operate at supply voltages between 8...45 V DC and generate any voltage from 1.7 V to 75 V DC. The DC/DC converters, manufactured in Germany, offer output power up to 0.67 hp.(Image: Elec-Con)

The Passau-based (Germany) development company for power electronics up to 1 kVA, Elec-Con, has introduced a series of customizable DC/DC converters for switch cabinet installation. The devices in the diPSU series convert an input voltage between 8 and 45 V DC into any desired output voltage from 1.7 to 75 V DC. These devices, measuring 1.65 inches in width, 4.7 inches in height, and 104 mm in depth, stabilize unstable supply voltages with fluctuating input voltages into a constant output voltage for sensitive electronics. This solution is used when decentralized switch cabinets are variably powered by vehicle batteries, accumulators, solar panels, or other DC sources. Here, the DC/DC converters ensure a stable 24-V network for automation components. Another application area is the operation of complex electronics such as telemetry devices used in passenger cars, trucks, or off-highway vehicles and thus operated at different onboard voltages. An optional enable input is available; the release delay is under seven milliseconds. All inputs and outputs are protected against overload, overvoltage, and reverse polarity. Status LEDs indicate whether the supply voltage is correctly applied and whether the output is active.
