Dresselhaus has developed a new generation of universal screws with the JDdrive. The versatile JDdrive is suitable for use in hardwood, chipboard, plastics, and other materials. A torsion bit specifically designed for Dresselhaus ensures a perfect fit during processing.

Much of the Dresselhaus know-how has gone into the development of the screw head: The first circle, enclosing the tapered hexalobular socket, prevents possible wobble movements when inserting the screw in conjunction with the specially developed JD Bit. The bit penetrates deep into the screw head, and the wide wings create a maximum contact surface, which especially facilitates overhead assembly and one-handed screwing. The screws fit perfectly on the bit, do not need to be held, and do not fall off. Thanks to the torsion zone, torque peaks are absorbed, minimizing the risk of breakage in hard screwing cases. Due to the increased lifespan, durability, and thus cost efficiency, Dresselhaus recommends using the JD Bit—however, the new screw series is also compatible with standard systems (such as Torx).

Patented technology, perfect fit, and easy processing

Initially, Dresselhaus will offer its JDdrive universal screw series in six diameters, with a total of three matching bit sizes. The unique feature: The medium bit JD-20 fits four diameters of the JDdrive, namely 0.14, 0.16, 0.18, and 0.20 inches. A bit change for each different size, as is common with conventional bits, is therefore unnecessary. The smallest bit JD-10 fits the JDdrive with a diameter of 0.12 inches, and the bit JD-40 fits the diameter of 0.24 inches. To protect against corrosion, the bits are coated with manganese phosphate. A color code in white, orange, and blue allows for easy differentiation of sizes JD-10, JD-20, and JD-40 at a glance.
