Shares in the semiconductor company Intel were recently up 3.4 percent (at 52.50 dollars), while the broad S&P 500 index fell by around half a percent. Intel has thus extended its share price gain to 42 percent so far this year. The company is also joining tech billionaire Elon Musk's initiative to develop semiconductors for his companies Tesla, "SpaceX" and "xAI", as we have also learned. The so-called Terafab project is a large-scale plan by Musk to produce his own chips for the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and space data centers in the long term. The project aims to generate an enormous amount of computing power every year, which is currently planned at around one terawatt per year.
