Intuitive! UDI stores and processes data

At the trade fair, the Tox Electricdrive Core system in combination with the Tox UDI (Universal Data Interface) panel can be experienced. It features an integrated PC and operates with Tox software on a hardened Linux operating system for optimal IT security, as the exhibitor reports. Through the built-in touchscreen, the user can control the system, visualize processes, and store and process process data. The implemented software with so-called middleware functionality is referred to as the central element of the intuitive panel. As for ergonomics, operators simply control the assembly workstation via a 15-inch UDI panel that combines operation, process monitoring, and analysis. A USB hand scanner, a sliding table, and the height-adjustable subframe facilitate handling if desired. The illuminated working area also simplifies operation. Because the status indicator lights up green after a cycle is completed, the next step may proceed. If it lights red, the part does not meet the required quality characteristics and the operator can react immediately. A quiet and fast electric protective door ensures safety. The sloped upper edge allows unrestricted visibility of components and tools in the working area. The new Electriccontrol Core control concept, by the way, does away with a cabinet as the often bulky housing has been moved inside. Even with a subframe, the space requirement in the plant is less than one square meter.
