Igus has released a new AI advisor for its online platform RBTX.com. According to a statement, the interactive advisor is intended to enable companies with little prior experience and technological know-how to quickly and securely assemble low-cost automation solutions.

The new AI robot advisor acts as a virtual assistant that guides interested parties through the selection process. Through a dialogue-based approach, it provides not only precise product suggestions but also recommendations on the interoperability of individual components—an important factor in avoiding incorrect purchases.

The AI chatbot demonstrates its strength particularly in concrete automation questions. For example, a user looking for a solution for loading a CNC machine can receive recommendations for suitable robot and gripper systems within seconds—including technical details and pricing information. The answers are based on an extensive database of completed projects, allowing users to quickly reach a feasible solution even without prior knowledge.
