Contributing to a faster development of Level-4 systems – that is the goal of the technological partnership between dSpace and the Chinese lidar manufacturer Hesai. As part of this cooperation, Hesai's sensor models are integrated into Aurelion.

Aurelion can be operated in the cloud as well as locally by the user and generates photorealistic images in real-time for camera simulation. Through ray tracing, realistic raw data are also calculated for radar and lidar sensors. The solution can be used in all phases of the development process. For example, in software-in-the-loop tests, hardware-in-the-loop tests, or in parallel validation in the cloud.

Flexible use of lidar models

Hesai's lidar products are used in various applications, including passenger and commercial vehicles with driver assistance systems (ADAS), automated vehicles, and robotic applications such as last-mile delivery robots and automated guided vehicles (AGV).

By integrating Hesai Lidar, lidar models can be flexibly used via the Aurelion platform, which provides synthetic data for the development, testing, and validation of systems and solutions for automated and autonomous driving. This lowers the costs for training edge cases and enables the rapid development, testing, and validation of automated vehicles.  (se)
