As part of the collaboration, both companies bring their respective strengths: FEV provides expertise in vehicle development – ranging from strategy and data governance to agent-based LLM workflows, accelerated simulation and testing, as well as data-driven diagnostics, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance – and supplies platform data and models. Nature Architects complements this with a proprietary design platform based on AI-supported form finding, metamaterials, and origami engineering.

Improve Side Impact Structure

An initial joint project to optimize a side impact structure has already been completed. This achieved a weight reduction of the sill reinforcement by up to 51 percent while maintaining the same energy absorption and thus ensuring unchanged safety for the occupants. The results of the approach, which shortens development times and thereby opens up significant cost-saving potential, were subsequently successfully validated in the overall vehicle model.

In the first year, the focus of activities is on the German market, where FEV leverages its presence with local automobile manufacturers. At the same time, Nature Architects will intensify its activities with Japanese automobile manufacturers.
