The three suppliers have developed a system that integrates e-paper screens behind plastic surfaces. The basis is a transparent water-based PU coating.

Covestro, Marquardt and E Ink have pooled their expertise to develop responsive, design-integrated surfaces for vehicle interiors. With a transparent water-based polyurethane coating, e-paper screens from E Ink can be integrated behind high-quality plastic surfaces, according to the suppliers. The development combines dynamic color functions with the durability and performance required for vehicle interiors.
