Delta, a leader in energy management and IoT-based smart green solutions, announced a breakthrough in robotic simulation with the integration of its D-Bot collaborative robots (cobots) into Nvidia’s Omniverse. This advanced platform provides APIs, SDKs, and services enabling developers to use Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) for realistic physical AI simulation. The integration allows Delta’s cobots to leverage Omniverse's powerful, AI-driven digital twin capabilities, enhancing simulation precision and collaborative functionality for robotics in IoT and AI applications.

Nvidia Isaac Sim, an Omniverse-based reference simulation platform for designing and testing robots, has also been integrated. This integration enables developers to create highly precise and physically accurate simulations in real time, significantly improving the development, testing and deployment of advanced robotic solutions.

"The integration with Nvidia Omniverse and Isaac Sim represents a transformative step forward for the Delta D-Bot (cobots) and our entire robotics portfolio," said Michael Mayer-Rosa, Senior Director of the Industrial Automation Business Group at Delta Electronics EMEA Region. "By leveraging these cutting-edge technologies, our customers can now experience exceptional simulation accuracy and collaborative capabilities, enabling them to bring sophisticated robotic solutions to market faster and with more confidence."

The integration enables Delta D-Bot users in industries such as manufacturing, logistics and healthcare to accurately simulate real-world conditions. By minimizing the need for physical prototypes and reducing development costs, companies can shorten their time to market, improve product reliability and accelerate innovation cycles. The photorealistic rendering and AI-powered physics of NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim enable developers to run highly complex simulations before real-world deployment, reducing risk and improving overall performance.

With Omniverse's interoperability capabilities and Isaac Sim's advanced robot simulation tools, Delta D-Bot users can accelerate their development workflows, validate robot software stacks and associated behaviors in a virtual environment, and complete complex projects faster. Delta's D-Bot will be demonstrated at SPS Nuremberg from November 12-14 at the Delta booth in HALL 7, STAND 593. (sb)
