Sharing knowledge and sparking innovation: Europe's largest conference on connectors will return at the end of May 2025, dedicating three days to exploring all aspects of the industry. Have you developed application examples or innovative solutions? Submit your proposal by December 31, 2024!

Connectors and plug connections are not sexy, but nothing works without them. The greatest challenges for the use of edge and cloud-based applications in industrial automation lie at the level of connection technology. In order to achieve end-to-end digitalization of OT and IT, networks such as industrial Ethernet are indispensable, as is the corresponding hardware, especially connectors.

However, direct current technology, the highest data rates in industrial communication and the requirements in high-voltage and high-current environments in automotive applications also present new challenges for connection technology. What new solutions are there? What developments will users have to prepare for in the coming years? For example: artificial intelligence in the connector environment, recycling, environmental requirements including carbon footprint regulations.

Europe's largest user congress on the use and design of connectors offers a wide range of information on current developments and challenges in connectors, as well as a great deal of basic knowledge: This begins with the basic seminars, which range from electrotechnical parameters and the selection of base materials to contact physics, surface technology and plastics. And ends with current developments and discussions on topics such as EMC-compliant connector design, new connection technologies, single-pair Ethernet applications, new plastics and much more.

This is exactly where you come in: Do you have exciting solutions or in-depth insights into working with connectors that you would like to share with an expert audience? Then submit your presentation proposal for the Connectors 2025 User Congress! Europe's largest specialist conference on connectors and related technologies will once again bring the industry together in Würzburg from May 25 to 28, 2025—the best platform for your contribution and expertise!

Main topics of the Connectors 2025 user congress

The focus topics in the coming year include:

• Connection technology,

• Automobile,

• Designs,

• Materials and surfaces,

• EMC and signal integrity,

• Special requirements for connectors,

• Trends in electrical interfaces,

• Environmental requirements.

If you are a speaker who would like to share your knowledge with a wide audience of experts, please submit a proposal with a short and meaningful technical abstract in German or English via the "Call for Papers" button. Your abstract should include the following:

• Title of the article,

• Full name, academic degree and place of work/country of the author (company or institute),

• E-mail and telephone number of the speaker,

• Short summary (max. 1,000 characters, no images) of your planned presentation with reference to the presentation format (poster, plenary presentation, workshop),

• Focus topic.

The language of presentation is German (with simultaneous translation into English) or English, as the conference is aimed at an international audience.

A plenary presentation will last 25 minutes plus 5 minutes Q&A, 60 minutes for workshops and 90 minutes for basic seminars. The poster presentations will again be awarded prizes as part of the Poster Slam on Monday evening and the content will be presented as posters throughout the event.

You should note the following: The abstract of the presentation is decisive for the acceptance of the presentation, as the abstract is evaluated by the advisory board in the peer review process.

The presentations should address users of connectors, explain current developments and deal, for example, with technical, technological or standardization-related aspects of the topics mentioned. User presentations are expressly desired. Unfortunately, we cannot consider presentations that are too marketing-oriented.

Last year, 420 participants and 54 exhibitors gathered at the industry meeting for fastening technology in Würzburg/Germany located in the north of Bavaria—which means we have almost reached the level of the "pre-corona" era. (kr)
