After nine years of partnership, the FPGA manufacturer reverted to its "maiden name." Now, a complete separation seems imminent, with Intel considering divesting itself of Altera.

Some observers may see this as an opportunity: After years of perceived stagnation, some momentum could return to the portfolio of the still prominent provider. At least, that is the hope of those developers who could never quite get comfortable with the leading, but more high-end application-focused components from Xilinx (now AMD).

The demand is unquestionable: Whether in small embedded applications or complex AI and automotive applications, the market for FPGA solutions is buzzing like never before. More providers than ever are entering the market, and FPGAs are penetrating more and more industrial application areas. Flexibility, scalability, and high computing power for dedicated tasks are increasingly in demand, even in compact systems—and this is precisely where FPGAs can fully leverage their strengths.

If you would like to share your knowledge as a speaker with a wide professional audience, please submit a lecture title and a short and meaningful summary of your planned lecture in English. Your proposal should include:

• the title of your contribution

• Full name, academic degree, and workplace of the author (company or institution)

• Email and phone number of the speaker

• Short summary (about 2,000 characters) of your planned lecture

• A classification of the target audience: Beginner/Intermediate/Expert.

The presentation language is English, as the conference targets an international audience. The duration for a presentation is 40 minutes, and for tutorials, a maximum of 85 minutes. The presentations should appeal to embedded developers and ideally be application-oriented, dealing with technical, technological, or standardization-relevant aspects of the mentioned topics. Unfortunately, we cannot consider overly marketing-oriented contributions. Also important: We require permission to share the accepted presentations with the participants of the FPGA Conference Europe.
