As part of its new Logiquick campaign, Iscar has developed a whole range of innovative tools for turning, parting and grooving, drilling, and milling. At the EMO, the manufacturer presents the highlights under the label "Go4Gold".

Multidirectional Face and Profile Turning

The six-edged Quickturn for fast multi-directional plane and profile turning features an extremely stable clamping system. It ensures a secure fit of the insert and allows backlash-free forward and reverse turning with high feed rates on the X and Y axes. Its targeted jet cooling delivers coolant directly into the cutting zone, ensuring excellent heat dissipation and outstanding chip control.

Iscar's new all-round system Quickpenta offers the five-edged cutting insert a secure fit and great stability thanks to the Safe-Lock clamping. Users benefit from high process reliability and top surface quality in parting and grooving, turning, reverse turning, and threading.

Two different geometries on one indexable insert make Iscar's Quickdmill suitable for a wide range of milling operations. Users can efficiently and significantly faster than with other methods create pockets, plunge mill, slot mill, and drill.

Iscar's three-edged interchangeable head drilling system Quick3cham allows the reboring of existing holes, even if they are eccentrically positioned, thanks to the new F3B flat drill head design. The geometry of the main cutting edge with a ground chip deflector produces very small chip segments. The minor cutting edge with a wiper ensures optimal hole geometry and excellent surface quality.

Drilling Tools for all Requirements

In addition to the Quick3cham, Iscar will bring further highlights from its broad drilling program to EMO. Visitors can, for instance, gain an impression of Iscar's Sumocham line. The interchangeable head drilling system is suitable for all applications thanks to the wide range of drill head variants, diameters from four to 25.9 millimeters, and shank lengths from 1.5 to 12xD. Users benefit from efficient and reliable processes, user-friendliness, and short setup times.

Profil

Founded in 1972, today's Iscar Germany GmbH holds a leading position within the globally operating production and sales network of the IMC Group. The company is a full-service provider with around 375 employees. The sale of standard tools through its own sales organization and specialist dealers is supported by comprehensive technical and application consulting. Experienced designers are available for the growing sector of combination, multifunctional, and special tools. The production of special tools mainly takes place at the headquarters in Ettlingen. For even greater flexibility, Iscar now offers the Sumocham family with a Multi-Master interface. Additionally, Iscar has developed a Sumocham drill specifically designed for processing steel beams – featuring a reinforced drill body and optimized drill head geometry.

Drills in Various Designs

Whether hollow or injection valves, distribution blocks, or crankshafts – when deep drilling is required in production, Iscar's Gundrill single-flute deep hole drills come into play. At the exhibition booth, visitors can discover the different tool designs. The solid carbide single-flute drills of the SolidDeep series feature a highly rigid shank for minimal bore deviation and high process reliability in mass production. The brazed BrazeDeep deep hole drills are more cost-effective and cover a wider diameter range. For even more economical and faster processes, the TriDeep deep hole drills with indexable inserts are designed. As varied as the drills are – all three enable deep drilling with high quality.

Efficient Internal Turning

Also on display in Hannover is the new Piccojet cutting insert. Thanks to dual cooling, it offers longer tool life and allows efficient chip removal during turning, grooving, threading, chamfering, profile turning, and axial grooving. In addition to lateral coolant supply, the Piccojet features an additional through-coolant hole at the cutting edge. This duo delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone, optimally dissipating heat. This protects the cutting edge, ensures process reliability, increases tool life, and improves surface finish and chip control.
