Bridgestone has developed a complete range of tires to enhance the performance of the super sports car Lamborghini Temerario. The new tires met all drivers' requirements and offered top performance on the racetrack and on the road, as well as in difficult winter conditions. With its twin-turbo V8 hybrid drivetrain with three electric motors, the Temerario is part of a new generation of hybrid super performers (HPEV), setting new standards in their vehicle class. As the "Official Technical Partner" of Lamborghini, Bridgestone is said to be excited to continue the joint journey to advance the development of electric vehicles and a new era of sustainable motorsports. The Lamborghini Temerario is expected to hit the market in 2025.

Virtually developed tires are more efficient and sustainable

By the way, the tires for the Lamborghini Temerario were developed at Bridgestone's research and development center in the Italian captial Rome using the premium tire manufacturer's special Virtual Tyre Development (VTD) technology. VTD improves both the efficiency and sustainability of the tire development process. It makes about 200 physical prototypes obsolete, reduces physical vehicle tests by 80 percent, and shortens development time by up to 50 percent. According to Bridgestone, this approach also leads to a reduction of raw material consumption and CO2 emissions in the development phase of original equipment tires by up to 60 percent. The tailor-made Bridgestone tires are available in eight dimensions of sizes 20 and 21 inches and are produced in Europe.

Super tires keep the Lamborghini on track

Based on its long-standing tradition in motorsport, Bridgestone uses its well-known Potenza tire series for the summer and racetrack tires of the Temerario and provides tailor-made Potenza-Sport and Potenza-Race tires. The former has a tread design that optimizes handling on dry and wet roads and performance at high speeds to enhance the vehicle's sporty behavior, according to the manufacturer. This high-performance tire is also available in a homologated version with run-flat technology. It allows the driver to retain control of the vehicle after a tire puncture and continue to drive up to 80 kilometers at speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. The Potenza-Sport has a higher grip, very good traction properties, and offers high driving comfort on the road, as well as more safety. As for the Potenza-Race, it was developed to match the high performance of the super sports car, which is on the move with the first and so far only series engine that reaches 10,000 revolutions per minute. This racing tire also comes with a very good grip, as well as improved handling and long-term reliable performance for all racetrack enthusiasts. Grip is achieved by a special rubber compound that was developed for use on the racetrack and then transferred to the road.

To complete the tire offering that meets all needs and requirements, Bridgestone has further developed its Blizzak LM005 winter tire specifically for the Temerario. The Blizzak LM005 (23-time test winner) was designed as tailor-made winter equipment and allows the hybrid super sports car to deliver top performance on the road even in extreme winter conditions.
