Bridgestone has developed a complete range of tires to enhance the performance of the super sports car Lamborghini Temerario. The new tires meet all the drivers' requirements and offer top performance on the racetrack and on the road, as well as under challenging winter conditions. With its twin-turbo V8 hybrid drivetrain and three electric motors, the Temerario belongs to a new generation of hybrid super performers (HPEV) that set new standards in their vehicle class. As the "Official Technical Partner" of Lamborghini, Bridgestone is pleased to continue the joint journey to advance the development of electric vehicles and a new era of sustainable motorsport. The Lamborghini Temerario is set to hit the market in 2025.

Virtually developed tires are more efficient and sustainable

The tires for the Lamborghini Temerario were developed at the Bridgestone Research and Development Center in Rome using the premium tire manufacturer's special Virtual Tyre Development (VTD) technology. VTD improves both the efficiency and sustainability of the tire development process. It renders around 200 physical prototypes obsolete, reduces physical vehicle tests by 80 percent, and shortens the development time by up to 50 percent. According to Bridgestone, this approach also leads to a reduction in raw material usage and CO2 emissions in the development phase of original equipment tires by up to 60 percent. The customized Bridgestone tires are available in eight sizes of 20 and 21 inches and are produced in Europe.

Super tires keep the Lamborghini on track

Drawing on its long-standing tradition in motorsport, Bridgestone uses its renowned Potenza tire series for the summer and racetrack tires of the Temerario, providing customized Potenza Sport and Potenza Race types. The former features a tread design that optimizes handling on both dry and wet surfaces and performance at high speeds to enhance the vehicle's sportive behavior, according to the manufacturer. This high-performance tire is also available in a homologated version with Run-Flat technology. It allows the driver to maintain control of the vehicle after a tire puncture and to continue driving up to 80 kilometers at speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. The Potenza Sport offers increased grip, excellent traction, high driving comfort on the road, and enhanced safety. As for the Potenza Race, it was developed to match the high performance of the super sports car, which boasts the first and only series engine capable of reaching 10,000 revolutions per minute. This race tire also provides very good grip, but with improved handling and long-term reliable performance for all race track enthusiasts. The grip is achieved through a special rubber compound developed for use on the racetrack and then adapted for the road.

To complete the tire range that meets all needs and requirements, Bridgestone has specifically evolved its Blizzak LM005 winter tire for the Temerario. The Blizzak LM005 (23-time test winner) was designed as customized winter equipment, enabling the hybrid super sports car to deliver top performance even under extreme winter conditions.
