BMW and Tata Technologies have officially launched their new joint venture BMW TechWorks India with offices in Pune, Bangalore and Chennai. The joint venture will initially have 100 employees—this number is expected to reach four figures by the end of 2025. An important focus is on recruiting Indian talent. The car manufacturer and the development service provider each hold 50 percent of the shares in this company.

BMW TechWorks India is expanding the manufacturer's global development capacities and will deliver scalable software functions for future vehicles. In addition to vehicle software, the company will provide digital products for the Munich-based carmaker's business IT. In this way, BMW TechWorks will drive the digital transformation of BMW's global production network and strengthen the digital customer journey and sales processes.
