The rollout begins with the German and Austrian subsidiaries of the Rohlik Group, Knuspr and Gurkerl, in their fulfillment centers in Berlin and Vienna. Additional locations such as Frankfurt (Germany) will follow in the coming months. The AI-enabled robots are fully integrated into Rohlik's proprietary end-to-end technology platform for online grocery retail, Veloq, enabling seamless coordination between advanced robotics and complex warehouse operations. "Rohlik demonstrates how AI robotics can scale beyond pilot projects and individual locations," says Ralf Gulde, CEO of Sereact.

With 24 robots and expansion into several markets—including chilled environments—Rohlik is building one of the most advanced e-grocery fulfillment networks in the world. This collaboration sets a new standard for how technology can transform food logistics on a large scale.

By scaling AI robotics in both cooled and non-cooled environments, Rohlik is addressing one of the most complex challenges in food shipping: fast and accurate picking of large volumes at varying temperatures. The robots handle the precise gripping and packaging of individual products—one of the last manual steps in warehouse logistics. Integration into the Veloq platform enables the AI-driven systems to respond to orders in real time, flawlessly picking both fresh and durable products. "We developed this AI robotics program from the ground up to fundamentally transform the handling of grocery deliveries," explains Andreas Küllmer, Group Head of Automation and Expansion at the Rohlik Group.

Through the development and implementation of this initiative in multiple markets, we are not only scaling robotics technology but also laying the foundation for the future of automated logistics in the e-grocery sector.

At the Berlin location, the effects of automation are already evident. With over 125,000 orders delivered per month, the Berlin metropolitan area is now Knuspr's largest location in Germany. A single robot picks up to 600 items per hour. By the end of the year, five more picking robots are set to be installed at the logistics center in Schönefeld (Germany), allowing Knuspr to process up to 10,000 orders per day. The new automation reduces the picking error rate to a minimum. Currently, the rate of "perfect" deliveries—without delays, complaints, or replacement products—is over 90 percent.

The partnership between Sereact and the Rohlik Group positions both companies at the forefront of European e-commerce innovation. With plans for expansion to additional locations and scaling to a three-digit number of robots, a network is being created that shapes the future of automated grocery logistics. The initiative demonstrates to the industry that AI-driven robotics is not only technologically advanced but also economically scalable.
