PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) has expanded its collaboration with Nvidia, the world's leading provider of accelerated computing. PTC is integrating Nvidia Omniverse technologies into its Creo CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions to create new possibilities for how manufacturers and product companies design, simulate, and collaborate on complex products—including core hardware for AI infrastructure, such as high-performance circuit boards, advanced cooling systems, and the equipment of large data centers.

Furthermore, PTC has joined the Alliance for Open USD (AOUSD), reaffirming its commitment to the open and interoperable 3D data standards of Open USD.

Create A Shared, Immersive Environment

By connecting Windchill with the Omniverse development platform for photorealistic real-time simulations, teams can visualize and interact with up-to-date Creo design data in a shared, immersive environment.

PTC will create an interactive real-time view in Windchill using Omniverse Open USD and RTX libraries. This will allow users to access high-resolution 3D simulations without leaving their PLM environment. This integration provides every user—from engineers to marketing staff—with access to traceable, version-controlled product information, enabling teams to make decisions faster and reduce development risks.

Digital Twin Workflow Accelerates Development Process

By leveraging live data directly from Windchill, engineers can analyze multidisciplinary assemblies, simulate real-world performance, and collaborate across functions. These digital twin workflows enable companies to accelerate the development process, enhance product quality, and democratize access to complex 3D design content.

By deepening our collaboration with Nvidia and joining the Alliance for Open USD, we enable our customers to integrate design and configuration data into an immersive real-time simulation environment.

Neil Barua, President and CEO of PTC

"The most advanced products today—from AI hardware to industrial machinery—are more complex, integrated, and technically demanding than ever before," says Neil Barua, President and CEO of PTC. "By deepening our collaboration with Nvidia and joining the Alliance for Open USD, we are enabling our customers to integrate design and configuration data into an immersive real-time simulation environment. Thanks to the integration of Omniverse technologies into Creo and Windchill, teams can accelerate development, improve product quality, and collaborate more effectively throughout the entire product lifecycle."

The announced integrations result from PTC's longstanding support of Nvidia in developing advanced hardware driving the AI revolution—from high-performance circuit boards to next-generation data center systems. Nvidia has utilized PTC's Creo and Windchill solutions to optimize its product development process with precision, speed, and scalability.

Blueprint for Other AI Hardware Partners

Now, the integration of these tools into the Nvidia Omniverse development platform and the embedding of the Omniverse viewport into Windchill will bring real-time simulations and immersive visualizations directly into development workflows. This deeper integration enables companies to enhance the speed and quality of collaborative innovation. It is set to serve as a blueprint for extending these capabilities to other AI hardware partners across the ecosystem.

"PTC is a global leader in design solutions for the manufacturing industry. By integrating Omniverse technologies into Creo and Windchill, PTC enables designers and manufacturers to move faster and more accurately from concept to production," explains Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technologies at Nvidia. "PTC's commitment to Open USD and open standards will help us connect and unify the global AI infrastructure industry from design to manufacturing more quickly."
